Goodbye Mr. Cheng
« on: June 19, 2013, 05:36:03 AM »
First of all, I want to apologize for my dirty scoot... a storm just passed and it's been raining for a week now...

After two years of service... I said good bye to my OEM tires (Chengs) and bought a pair of new AND BIGGER... soft compound, semi racing, tires....  130/70/14 rear and 110/70/14 front...
brand is Mizzle... made in Indonesia... these tires are very popular here for the Super 8 because of the size and performance on wet and very wet pavement... 3,000 pesos or around 69 U.S. Dollars for the pair with free installation...  ;)

Wow what a great price for a pair of tires. How long does your wet season last? During the dry season will you switch out tires are leave the Mizzle on?

Hi TroutBum... we are hit by 20-25 storms a year... wet starts June and ends on January.. February is the windy month and Kite season March to May is summer... we even have some rain during summer months... I'll keep the Mizzle on even during summer... it's good for wet and dry...

Nice job Vivo! Still have my Mr. Cheng's on (CST) You got your money's worth, plus you use the scooter all of time. The prices you pay are simply amazing! $69.00 for the set & that's installed! We would be @ $69.00 a single tire (if we're lucky) & that doesn't include installation. You should be a lot safer now. Well worth the small investment.

Just an update on my new tires...

Increased air pressure to 35 psi at the rear and the ride is still smooth... On the Chengs, 35 was really a pain in the ass......  ;)
