Title: Top Box Suggestions Desired
Post by: paper on March 11, 2014, 11:38:23 AM
Not really "technical" but we don't have a Modification or Farkle forum here..

I've got a 2005 People 50 and I'm looking for suggestions for a box to mount on the rear rack.
I'm looking for something medium sized that would maybe hold a helmet? Mostly looking for additional enclosed storage for getting groceries and a place to throw lunch for my ride to work.

I didn't know if there's something made for the rear rack or not?? I can always fit a universal box from eBay, but I was hoping for something nice and clean looking, and sturdy so I don't have to continuously wonder if it's still back there. :)

I owned a S200 and had a Shad 33 on it. It would hold a 3/4 helmet and a couple of bags of groceries.
It also didn't look too big for the scoot.

I looked at Shad and it looks like they make good stuff!!

Well, I had some time to investigate and went with a Kappa K25NF scooter case.  Kappa is part of Givi and makes great luggage, so I found one on eBay for $58 shipped to my door. 25L, the size is what I was after and it should mount up to my rack without too much swearing. :)

Pics to follow.
