hello everyone,  i have the seat off and have full view of the inside of scooter.. first of all where is the spark plug? it seems like its on the left side of the engine, if it is, does anyone have any tips on how to remove the black cap? ii cant get a solid pull on it.. its soo narrow in there...i cant believe something soo simple like removing sparkplug is such a big task on this scooter? dont get me wrong, absolutely love the bike but geeze

The plug is on the left side of the engine. Rotate the plug cap a few degrees clockwise and counterclockwise around the plug. Then pull the cap off by rotating while pulling. Not only is the "rubber" seal nearly welded to the plug insulator, the electrical connection has a mechanical detent spring that pushes on the threads of the plug terminal. Makes it tough.

I change my spark plug going from the left side. Put bike on center stand, lay down right behind the stand and you can get one hand in with a swivel and ratchet. Its not that hard but beats having to take everything apart.
Make sure you start the new one by hand and you will also need to screw off the cap on the plug.
I use Iridium NGK and get great results.

Hi Joe7911 , I wonder what performance enhancement you get with iridium spark plug vs stock ? ???
