Recently picked up a DT 300i and I have a quick question on the fuel gauge.
Once it reaches the last bar, it starts to flash. Does this indicate that fuel is required immediately or does anyone know the approx. remaining fuel in the tank once the gauge starts to flash?
Also, I've noticed a fuel symbol on the dashboard. What purpose does this light serve?
Does this activate when the tank is close to empty whereas the above flashing only serves as an early reminder to plan for a gas stop ahead?
Appreciate any help you can offer on this!

With my Downtown once the fuel gauge starts flashing I still have 2-3L in the tank. The little fuel indicator starts flashing when I am down to 'reservr' fuel of like .5L

Thanks for the reply, very useful info!

We have a 12,5l fuel tank.
When it start flashing, usually I have at least 2,5l. So you have almost 70km left...

For me ,when the fuel bar comes to the lowest and start flashing ,I refill at the nearest station available.

I go by the flashing light and total mileage, between 200 and 220 miles, get to the gas bar ,.

I know when it starts flashing that I have about 50 miles left.
