Title: I hardly see freeway-legal scooters on the freeways

Whether I drive in a car or ride my 300i, or even my moded Vino (to a 150), I very rarely see scooters on the freeways.
I live in the South bay area of SF, and my freeway commute is typically 101, 280, or 237.  On these freeways, I see, besides cars & trucks, mostly "shiftey" motorcycles.

Anyone from the Bay area notice this as well?

You may want to contact the South Bay scooter club about this. When they were here in Vegas for annual Vegas Scooter Rally, their quite a number of them who had maxi scooters. They literally rode the entire distance from Frisco to Vegas which I think is about 600 miles each way. I know they have a facebook page.

my experience is similar to yours,
I commute on CA-91 WB everyday for 60 miles.
Hardly see a scooter except for one previous gen. Burgman 400

Must be regional.

Home in florida I see maxis on I95 all the time.
At my place in NJ I rarely see another scoot much less a big one.

I haven't traveled on the highway yet, but like you, here in NJ, I've seen one other scooter this year.

I've seen a lot of maxi scooters on the 91 freeway. I have seen a couple vespas on different freewAys. I recently saw a 150 size Chinese scooter on I-10 in traffic. Cars were only moving around 20 mph and he was lane splitting slowly.

Only scoots on the highway around here are mine and Burgmans.
