When trying to start my bike im getting a clicking sound from the starter solenoid is it packed up or could it be my battery?

It could be a bad ground, a weak battery or a bad relay.

Try jumping the two heavy wires in the relay plug, and see if it cranks. If not it is the battery or the ground.
Check the bike for bad grounds, and put a meter on the battery. Check the voltage while you are trying to crank. The battery has to be tested under a load. It should be at least 10 volts loaded.
