Title: Aftermarket Tachometer
Post by: Shaka on November 06, 2009, 04:54:04 AM
This Tiny Tach seems like the best one for the price.  The commercial model would probably be best for scooter applications.  It goes to 19,990rpm and updates every 1/2 second, compared to the standard 9,990 with 2.5 second update.  http://www.tinytach.com/tinytach/commercial.php. (http://www.tinytach.com/tinytach/commercial.php.)  Anyone have any experience with either one, or others for that matter?

Me either, that's why I want one!  It would make tuning easier, especially the idle jet!

Agility 125 and People 250S do not have rev counter.
Xciting 250 does.
My People Cobra 50 had it, so does Piaggio NRG 50.
Strange.

I would highly recommend talking with Trail Tech!!!!!  They are the best company I have dealt with probably ever!!  The funny thing is that I don't even currently have a working tach, but I'm still preaching their product!  That is some darn good customer service in my opinion!  They have gone far above and beyond in making sure I get a working product and am a happy customer all at no additional charge!  Man, if only every company had the same philosophy!

Are you and slinger emptying beer cans!   " The funny thing is that I don't even currently have a working tach, but I'm still preaching their product! "   No! Just messing. I like the ones that tell you they already shipped it to you before you even order it. That's service in my book!

Lol!  No beer for me!  I've got this nifty ankle bracelet on at the moment that tells my PO if I have any alcohol in my system!  Isn't technology great! :P

If anyone is looking at getting a tach though, I highly recommend the Trail Tech TTO!  After they sort out the problem I'm having they will make a running change to remedy this in all future products!

Lol!  The thought crossed my mind to put it on the dog!  I don't really want to mess with it though.  I don't think it's really worth going to jail over!  I only have to have it for like 6 more weeks!

Interesting!  I've never heard of anyone else that has had to have this CAM "Continuous Alcohol Monitor"!  At least now I know I'm not the only one getting screwed over by the NCDOC!!!

Uh Oh!  Apparently they didn't come down too hard you!  At least mine is not a tracking device!  I don't hardly drink anymore anyways, so it's not really that big of a deal, other than it is extremely uncomfortable!  I was supposed to get it a year ago, but my PO didn't know anything about it or where to get it.  It probably would have been more beneficial then than now, but whatever!  I only have to have it for 60 days!  Only 53 left! ;D
