Title: miler/grand dink

hi
i have a miler 125 2005 and on the user hand book its also called grand dink ,
so i assumed they are the same model just different names
anyway i cant seem to get aftermarket spares ie. exhaust ,variator for the miler but can be ordered for the grand dink,
so i thought i would treat myself to a j costa variator,
i emailed the company asking if the variator would fit my miler as its supposed to be the same model as the grand dink,
but all i get is sorry it wont fit your scooter
and that was the same with performance exhausts too.
hmm seems like i have a scoot that i cant get parts for..
i'm on the verge of giving up on my miler :-\

does anyone have any views on this??

  is your grand dink the same size as a grand dink 300, just smaller engine, in canada it is called 300i downtown, or 200i downtown, have you tried   powersportawarehouse.com       thats where I get my parts they are  in USA.   at Seneca  SC.  29678   8648888123

mine is the miler but im sure the grand dink 300 is the same size frame
anyway i will try  powersportawarehouse.com although im in the UK so probably cost me a lot in shipping.

Upload a pic of the engine and we'll be able to tell. Most important is if it's air or water cooled. If it's air cooled the engine will most likely take gy6 variator pars. In America we didn't get the "dink" 125. If your bike is water-cooled it may be very hard to track cvt parts, the only bike close is the bet and win 150, very unique water cooled engine. Post a pic of the variator side and exhaust side.

it is water cooled  and i will upload pics when i got the time

i have used wemoto to but i find they only sell parts like cables and drive belts etc

Yeah that's what I though.... That water cooled engine is best kept ALL STOCK!!! They are actually one of Kymco's best performing 125-150cc engines (We only got the 150cc version in the USA). The Bet & Win 150 with this engine goes like 70mph which is crazy fast for a 150cc. But I looked into getting a variator upgrade for this customer and I could not find ANYTHING out there, best to just get some Dr. Pulley sliders and tune the bike up really nice. Good luck.

The new 2015 is called GD250i

I take that back, the Downtown 300 looks like the one they call "Super Dink". I want to meet the Taiwanese guy that came up with the names for Kymco bikes and buy him a round of Sake, would make for an interesting conversation hahah.

Heh. Yeah, I've got the Yager GT 200i, aka Dink 200i in Asia and Frost 200i in Canada.

I was thinking about getting an Isotta windscreen for it, but they'd screen-printed "Dink" on the lower left and right of the windscreen. I'm not riding around in the US with "Dink" on my scooter. That's just asking for ridicule.
