Can anyone tell me the default number of turns of the pilot screw?
Is it 2,5?
Can the experts chime in?

Generally it would be between 1.5 and 3. I tend to find in general a 2.25 in my weather and altitude. Id start with a 2.5 and as from there tweek it in 1/8's. Find the better idle and then re adjust the idle. Rev it and try to get the better response as well. This has to de made with the engine hot.

Thanks a lot.
Can you explain 'Find the better idle and then re adjust the idle.'
What is better idle? Higher revs?
How can you adjust it with engine hot? There's little space between the pilot screw and the engine...
Thanks from the Netherlands

Its getting the fastest idle by the mixture screw and not touching the idle screw.
I mean hot.. beeing runned the engine for 10 mins at least in operational temperature.
I havent seen a x500.. but get a good screwdriver and ull be fine

according to the Service manual 3 1/2 (+/-) 1/2. So go to 3 and 1/2 then warm the bike up (driving for 10 minutes or so) and check the idle. THe x500 SUCKS to adjust the mixture because the screw is on the bottom of the carb, bad design.

Thanks guys, will try that.
