Title: Mixing Dr. Pulley sliders
Post by: jeeves on August 19, 2015, 10:38:00 AM
Recently I put in 11.5g sliders and my scoot had a noticable increase in acceleration, two up was actually fun to ride, and uphill it would just go and keep on going!

The down side was it was constantly in high rpm, top speed was a bit lower, fuel consuption a bit higher (not too much) and combined with my Tehnigas 4Scoot exhaust the sound was just too loud for my taste.
It was fantastic in the city, but I also use my scoot for commuting, speeds up to max 90km/h, 44km round trip.

Went back to 13g sliders, it's still cosiderably better then having rollers, but now I miss the acceleration  :'(

So I'm trying to find a compromise and  my question is- can I mix Dr. Pulley sliders without having problems?

I would use 3x11.5g and 3x13g

sliders and rollers are designed to work in union with each other, some have used them mixed for short test times,  sounds like you could use a 300i.??????

I'm not a fan of mixing rollers, and it's a huge problem with sliders. When you mix weights, the heavy ones do most of the lifting and the light ones just kind of float in there, leaving them prone to "flipping" and then not working correctly. Why not just put 12g ones in there?

That's what I thought, just needed someone to confirm it. [emoji106]
I can't justify buying another set of sliders, the 11.5g have 500 km, the 13g have no more than 300km.
I will keep the 13g inside for now, probably put the 11.5g when winter comes, then I only use my scoot around the city, no commuting.
