I'm new to this forum, as I just purchased a 2016 450i last week. I hate to start with a sour note, but I haven't even had a chance to drive my new machine. I live in Maine and when I looked and the Kymco I decided to purchase didn't have a roof. I really needed one with the roof but the dealer didn't have one in stock. They said they'd have to order it, which should take "3-4 business days". I was disappointed, but figured I'd have it by Monday (yesterday). I finally called the dealer today and, to my displeasure, the roof STILL hadn't arrived! The salesman then advised that it wouldn't arrive until Friday. So, here I am a week later and no machine, going into a holiday weekend. I think this is outrageous. Have other folks had similar difficulty?

Pick it up, use it over the weekend and put the roof on when it arrives? Sh*t happens. :P

it's just as fun without the roof

Yeah, the roof will just slow you down! ;D

Took my dealer a couple of months to get my top. I used it without until it came in. Don't mis the enjoyment of this machine while waiting on a slow ship! Go get it and hop off the road--have fun!

Find a dealer locator and call around to other dealers to see if one is in stock and have it shipped to you. Better yet call the factory and complain, I did on mine and they were quite polite and helpful. Dealer can't help the machines are so popular they can't keep up with production. However as the others have stated go use it without the roof or...find an aftermarket roof. The factory roof is kinda cool with their name and all in it, but.....a roof is a roof and the factory one is not cheap.

What dealer in Maine did you buy your 450i? I bought mine in west bath at RVI. Give them a shout

And I made my own roof with 3/8" plywood and rubberized Bedliner spray. Had a lot of comments on it. Cost me absolutely nothing and has the same result as a factory roof
