Title: Kymco super 8 4T Derestriction?
Post by: Luke. on June 07, 2010, 03:36:38 PM
I've had my Kymco a few months now, as i've mentioned in another post, and i've disconnected one of the eight wires in the CDI to take off the rev limited, this has resulted in quicker acceleration and about 4-6 mph higher top speed.
As this is all i've done it is only going about 35/36/37 MPH now, i've looked for derestriction methods around but no one seems to know much about it, does anyone have any idea about what restrictors are on a Kymco super 8 4T?
Thanks for your time,

- Luke. :D

Super 8 50 has the same 139 engine as the agility, so the restrictions are the same (in most areas) The drive boss is #22105, and has a shoulder on it . You can buy a new boss for about $30.00 or machine off the collar.. You MAY have a plug in the air box right in front of the carb that limits the air flow .It is a square block w/ a 1" hole in it. If you have that you also have the smaller main jet .068 I believe. Those can be removed, and an .085 main installed. Those mods will get you to 45mph.
