Just heard yesterday that the Rendezvous movie was actually done in a Mercedes.

Yeah, don't listen to those people - they are the same jerks who say there is no tooth Fairy.
I've got $4.35 in dimes and nickels to prove them wrong.

It was a blood red Ferrari 365 California, with leaky Abarth pipes, and special Koni shocks fitted for the wet cobbles.

My French gardener's brother-in-law knows a guy who was there (Gerome Gascony) - sleeping one off under a tree on the Champs when this went down. He saw the whole thing - and hasn't paid for a Pastis in 50 years!

Le Mans and Grand Prix absolutely. From an earlier era "The Racers" with Kirk Douglas and Gilbert Roland. When wheels were skinny and drivers were not. "Onward for the honor of Borano!"

Did you ever see the director's cut of Grand Prix? Great stuff!
Never could get past Kirk's chin , or his acting.

Not specifically Car movies, but I've always liked Spielberg's Duel, and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, World.

I have to go with "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world" as well. Good clean old people humor.
