Good Afternoon,

I have purchased a new Kymco Maxxer 250 and I would like to know how to remove the speed limiter as it is getting stuck on 80 km and can't go over because of this restriction.

Could you please guide me as to how this can be done as I am very happy with the product but this limiter is extremely annoying when it comes to travelling on long roads.

Also is there a graphics template for the Kymco Maxxer 250?

What country are you in that sells a Maxxer 250?
Actually, 80kph, or 49MPH here in the states, is about right for a 250.
You would have to modify the Variator for more speed

I heard you can remove the speed restrictor? it definitely can go more than 80km but it can't go over..

Kymcos are speed limited by means of the ignition system which sets the maximum rpm.  Most models are unlocked by changing the CDI (not expensive).  The key to doing this is to find out which after-market Chinese CDI isn't rpm limited.  Kymco is NOT helpful, and the dealers likewise are not helpful.  The Chinese CDI makers are likewise not helpful.  Many CDIs are interchangeable from one model to the next, and there's no harm in buying aftermarket CDIs and trying them out.  For example, 50cc CDIs and 150cc CDIs are interchangeable. You must, however, figure out if your unit is an AC-type CDI unit or a DC-type.  It's worth trying to figure this since the performance gains are huge.  Here's a few sample CDIs from 50-150cc Kymcos:
