Just got done installing the Taiwan Domestic Market front fairing mounted turn signals (US models have dummy housings because the front turn signals are on the mirrors). I had already installed the wiring for them when I did the reflector/marker light install. Normally these lights only function as a turn signal lights but I wanted them to do both park (low) and turn (bright). To do this I needed a pair of diodes (prevent back feeding of each circuit) and a resistor (drop the voltage for low) for each side. All soldered and sealed with marine heat shrink. I ended up using some 1 amp diodes and 151 ohm 1/4 watt resistors. Here's a video link of the way it works and some photos of the job.

MJ,
Your electrical know-how is always impressive. (Me, I only buy washerless faucets. ....saves my brainpower for shrub trimming and whatever.)
300 owners would be over the moon if you were doing such mods to that popular bike!.....although I'm sure the other two 700 owners in this hemisphere appreciate your work tremendously!
Seriously, cool stuff....anything to add front visibility on a two-wheeler can only be a good thing.
Good pix and video....thanks for posting.
Cool looking scooter, that flagship of your's.

Thanks. I've spent most of my career in automotive electrical from building concept cars to repairing Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. I like repairing/modifying my vehicles and sharing my experiences or helping others. I like stock or stock appearing mods like this lighting and it looks so cool at night.

MJR, I admire your electrical ability. My electrical expertise doesn't extend much pass placing a plug into a receptacle. I can completely build an engine, but when it's time to wire it, H E L P!! Once again, great pictorial.
