Nice. Of the Vespas I like the 946 though it's said to be a bit slow and expensive it's a stunner.

Seriously, though, I do wish Americans would figure out what Europeans have known for a long time - scooters are a great way to commute and so much more space and fuel efficient, especially in the cities. But alas.......

Seriously, though, I do wish Americans would figure out what Europeans have known for a long time - scooters are a great way to commute and so much more space and fuel efficient, especially in the cities. But alas.......

Perhaps this is born of necessity due to high fuel costs in Europe. If gas went to 5 bucks a gallon we'd see an increase in scooters too.

Probably a very likely cause, Dan, along with the fact that some of their roads are very compact and have been there for hundreds of years in that configuration. But it still begs the question of why we don't take some preemptive steps here to make sure that we are using our resources wisely instead of squandering them with inefficient, large vehicles that clog the road and take up about 100 square feet of road when one can fit 4 scooters into the same space AND move them through traffic more efficiently..... We have a lot of automotive history to overcome.
