Title: Gave up on messing with mirrors

Not going to detail all the methods I've explored in order to solve my mirror problem on my new Piaggio Liberty.
(it's "my mirror problem"....because these Vespa mirrors suit nearly everyone else)
I cannot adequately see behind myself with the stock mirrors.

So, after a few months of experimenting and searching, phoning,  & emailing near & wide - I took these "bike helmet mirrors" and attached them to my Piaggio mirrors.

Looks goofy - but is the least goofy looking solution.
And it works.
2" convex mirrors fixed to 2" bike helmet mirrors on pivoting arms.

I've owned 4 scooters - and have had to fix the mirror situation on each one of them.

Well.....
Anyway, they're the Bug Eyes that are meant to be placed on a bicycle helmet (you gave me the idea for helmet mirrors) - or in a stretch of imagination - the seller says they'd work good on a snow mobile helmet.
I couldn't get them to work for love or $ on my Nolan modular - so, put them on my Piaggio/Vespa mirrors.

"Bug eyes bicycle safety mirrors" were the only ones I found on ebay that looked like yours. That them?

Yep.
I've used red 3M body panel 2-sided tape before with great results. So stuck mirror bases on with that stuff. Cured it in warm room 4 days. Seems well adhered.
Will see, if it ever stops raining.

You risers to get them up higher and longer mirrors so you can see around you.

This caught my  attention since mirrors--the only things I monitor frequently--are much lower on my Kymco Super 8 150.

I first owned a Honda 80 scooter.  No issues.
Then a '82 Honda CM450 motorcycle.  No issues.
Then a 2000 Honda 750 Nighthawk.  No issues.

Maybe Kymco's main users are shorter riders.  Instead of just flicking my eyes to my mirrors, I have to move my head down, which makes me drift if I look over 1 second.  I'd move on a better pair of mirrors, as I've survived on the roads with my mirrors.
