My windshield is starting to yellow. I’m guessing from over long sun exposure when I have it parked in the city where I work.
Is there a fix for this, or should I be thinking of a replacement? It’s getting to the point where it’s becoming opaque.

Hi,
Mine has turned yellow, developed micro cracks etc. There is nothing you can do as its polycarbonate without any UV protection, Waxing or sealants can help slow down the effect but there is nothing you can do except to replace it.
Some people have gone down the route to have it painted, but for me I prefer a screen that I can see thru.

Replace it.

It's a feature, it's not yellowing it now has the highly desirable amber tint to give you greater visual acuity when riding.

I'm with Stig on this one.
When polycarbonate begins to yellow, it has lost it's resilience and impact-resistance properties. If struck by a piece of road debris, a bug, or a bird (it happened to me once on the Honda) not only will you get hit by whatever it is, you'll also get hit with a shotgun-blast of small, sharp, polycarbonate fragments at whatever speed you're riding, plus however fast whatever it was that hit you was going.
A damaged or deteriorated windscreen is dangerous.

Thanks. I had pretty much came to the same conclusion. Is there anything tricky about removing or replacing a windshield? It looks pretty cut and dry in terms of removing screws and bolts.

Pretty easy, it's just 4 main bolts and a bottom bolt located underneath the Kymco badge.

Thanks. Good to know about the bolt under the badge.

I just replace my yellowed cracked windscreen with a new Puig from revzilla for $193.00 shipped to my door. Taller, with wraparound for the hands. Much better than original and well worth it IMO.
