Hi all.
I finally got my scanner tool working, as it had an engine error on since I got it back from the workshop(the worse one - the agents ) the previous time.
I did not think much about the error as it happened before and using the original kymco tool, it was easily removed.
So I assumed, same issue, but as it turns out, i was wrong.
My chinese scanner running through virtual xp shows "p0135 : 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction" .
Q1) Where do i find this part, and what could I do to fix it, a plug is out maybe?
Q2) Coukd this possibly explain why my scoot seems to take forever to get to operating temp?
Temp Guage stays at zero, until i turn off ignition, and immediately turn it back on.
Then it goes to the middle.
Anyways, Q2 is not a priority, so don't break your brain over it,
Q1 is my main point.
I await your wisdom, and Google skills. Lol.

What to do?

To test the heater circuit. If it fails the test, the solution is easy;replace. If it passes, then it could be more difficult to resolve, as it could be that the fact that the temp does not seem to get hot (02 sensor will give the p0135 error if the coolant temp takes too long to get warm.) or some other issue, still to be found.

The O2 sensor heater shouldn't have anything to do with the engine temperature or the engine temperature sensor.
I believe that the code goes off if the the resistance of the heater circuit is outside of the specified range.
The fact that the temperature gauge starts working when you flip the ignition switch makes it sound like the engine is getting up to temperature, but that there's some kind of electrical gremlin.

I found this 02 sensor. The white wires are the heater. I get a 8.9 ohm reading, and since that is not open circuit, I am considering fitting it, if the one currently in place shows open circuit when I test it when it stops raining.
The tip has a split on the edge that has developed.
Is this cause for concern?.
I am thinking that if it does come right off, it will blow out the exhaust, and not into the engine.

This part is NOT cheap. Zar 3000. That equates to 238usd.

Is that 238 USD for a used part?
It should be much less than that. Here at least, on ebay it's 130 USD shipped from Taiwan. Apparently the O2 sensor is shared between different models.
The part number is 39450-LDF2-800

No, the new part, lol. A used part I find in ebay for 34usd.

The part I pictured is a spare I found in my parts box, that was in my topbox when I got home after a repair was done at the workshop for an engine miss issue.

Update: resolved. Guys, the great man upstairs blessed me big time! That spare actually worked. Both circuits(02 and heater), so major saving. I am really very happy.
