Title: Beauty of a day
Post by: David E on January 07, 2019, 07:31:12 AM
So it hit a high of 72 today here in Texas.   Took the scoot out for a 15 mile ride and then jumped on the bigger beast and did 60 miles.   Good day!    What’s the temp where y’all live now?

Back in Maine, where I lived before we retired, it will go up to a relatively balmy 27° today.  Here in Lower Alabama it's gonna be 72° with full sun.  MAN I love it down here...

Any where near Foley? There is a Navy outlying field east of Foley and I used to ride the Yager over there to watch the kids practice "landings." The Navy primary school would not let the T-38C trainers actually touch down! Saved tires, I guess!

Indeed very strange wheather conditions around the world. We also experience very unusual wheather patterns in South Africa. At the moment several towns and even cities are running out of water and many farmers go bankrupt due to severe droughts.

In several towns trucks get used for  water supply from elsewhere. It just started raining in the drought stricken areas but in most areas it is already too late to plant certain crops. Before it just started raining the central and western parts of our country were struck by extreme heat waves one after the other.

I find myself in the eastern part of South Africa which normally has mild winters and hot summers. We are now in mid summer and most of the time we need to wear warmer clothes and use extra blankets - it almost feels like winter.

Things have changed forever.

Whenever you are planning to visit, just give proper attention to your governments warnings about visiting our country.  Unfortunately our country is not safe any longer.

It is a sunny, -21 C here today where I live!  Scooters are hibernating in the garage.

Well I'm in the South of Spain, near Seville, i came to Spain, almost 18 years ago, for the sun and heat.

it has been around 2°C at night for a week, now it is around 7°C during the day.

it is the coldest I've ever been here.

I'm in North Alabama.  It was around 40F late this morning when I went for a ride.  I have ridden nearly every day so far this winter.  We have had some beautiful days this winter.  this was last weekend:
