Using Military Discount today on recently purchased 2019XTown 300i-----got $100 back from Kymco today----followed their rules, submitted proper forms. Nice to get the money---but I had to read the fine print and get dealer to submit....made sure it didn't cost him.

Strange. The way it normally works is the dealer discounts the bike $100.00 and Kymco rebates the dealer.
You and the dealer may have just double dipped Kymco

Well. 6 yesrs ago I rec'd a $100 Visa from Kymco after buying my LIKE200iLX. (actually it was 2 $50 Visas, if memory serves ) Web site had this promo......dealer never mentioned it.
And, the dealer gave me a $100 gift card to their shop....to keep my sale. I was demanding a new helmet...their gift card was cheaper.

Got my $100 discount last June, dealer took it right off the price to lower my sales tax burden. Had to show my DD214 as proof, and that was it. Easy.

I remember that program and yes, it was a customer direct program. But, as I said, the Armed Forces and Back to School programs have always been dealer rebate programs. Sometimes a dealer will offer a discount and will disclose that the price includes all promotional rebates and discounts.
