Have you done a google search on this model? I am not familiar with this one. Gear oil is too thick for a 4-stroke engine. Need something like 10W40 for the four strokes while gears typically take 75-140 or 90 weight.

Hi Steve you don't mention whether it is a 4-stroke or two-stroke. Lt it is a 2T then here is a link for the manual...http://www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/Kymco_ZX_Service_Manual.pdf (http://www.49ccscoot.com/manuals/Kymco_ZX_Service_Manual.pdf)

It's a 2-stroke so there's no crankcase oil to change.

hi & greetings from the north east of england.  did not allow for the time zones ! just thought my clock was faulty on my laptop. wow, west coast u.s !very nice.  my  scooter was in a garage unused for 10 years, cleaned out carb, fuel tank etc, fitted new battery & spark plug. it started 3rd kick. still got to sort electric starter. but its very good condition for a 1999 with 4,200 mies. only cost me £ 40. called a zx over here, known as a scout elsewhere.   regards, steve.

Your scooter has a small tank which takes 2-stroke oil which is metered into the fuel so no crankcase oil. Make sure the oil pump is working or you will seize the engine. The gear oil in the final drive is probably 85w-90 gear oil. Check out the link I gave you for the service manual.

I've seen that manual it should suffice for the stuff you need to service. Enjoy your great deal!
