I'm shooting here first. 3 weeks back, my drive belt broke. My 2012 Super 8 150 has almost 12K miles, I was taking a turn off a highway, and I lost my drive when I tried to accelerate out of the curve. The engine kept running, so I glided it into a Walgreen's parking lot and picked it up later.
Last night, with no service manual (yet), I took all the bolts off the drive belt cover. The front end of the cover was free, but the rear, no. I've used service manuals before, and I'm being scared of buying it and not being able to ....just fix this.
I'll purchase the manual now. I'd just like to know what might be hanging up the rear end of the cover.

Has that belt cover ever been off ?
Many, from the factory are a bear to get off the first time.
Are you certain you've found every one of the fastening bolts?....nothing hidden just under the edge of the airfilter cover?
If certain all fasteners are off, possibly this scooter has a bearing on the end of the clutch shaft....and bearing/cover combo are stuck?
OR, the cover is just stuck.
In any event, it will have to be gently persuaded to come free.
Tapping with soft mallet, wiggle/tap/wiggle, thin putty knife into rear seam?
Hopefully your manual will show you total number and position of fasteners...and if cover/clutch shaft bearing is present.
Again, first time cover removal can be testy....esp. so if also stuck on a bearing.
Let us know how it goes....

I picked up a service manual online, and found my hangup. I took off all the retainer bolts, and even in the pictures, one is using a screwdriver to pry the cover off. I saw these support points last night, but I wasn't sure if they were put there purposefully.
And Stig, thanks for your reply. I'll go work on it shortly and will let you know how it went. This is the first time it's been pulled off.

I procrastinated on it last weekend, but I got out there just a while ago. The belt had broken. No other damage.
I went on ebay to shop for a new belt, and I'm unsure since they are all aftermarkets. Anything I should avoid? I'd just wish to order and install it myself.

Collective wisdom here is AVOID aftermarket belts. Use genuine Kymco part; Kymco belt.
