Just did my GTi300 yesterday, seems to run much better, especially no shuttering on takeoff. Found how to do the 300 in the service manual, very clearly spelled out. My question is, do I use the same procedure for my Yager? Can't find anything in the manual for it.

Not sure what you are asking... are you talking about re-setting the oil change light? (you also might get a better response if you asked the question in the Yager section).

Is the Yager EFI?
If it is - certainly worth a try if the Yager is acting funny.

Yes, the Yager is EFI, nearly the same system as the DT and the GTi300 and who knows what else. I think the initialize procedure is 10 seconds instead of 8 as in the DT. Resetting oil service is the same. The stuck vent valve is the same but venting is more difficult than drilling the cap!

I just knew I could count on Crossbolt for a good answer. Thank you sir!!
A little background. Took a ride on my 300 yesterday and while stopped to smoke a cigar I found a scrap of paper under the seat telling how to Initialize. Just for the heck of it I did that, second time in 15+k miles. Seat of the pants told me it accelerated much better. Took it to my private 1/4 mile strip and did a 2 way check. Yup, much better than the last time I checked.
So today I took the Yager out for a before and after testing. No measurable change noted. BUT, I held the throttle open for only 8 sec. Will try again using you 10 second suggestion.
Now, is Initializing something that needs to be done on all FI bikes or is that something exclusive to Kymco?

I am a tad out of my league making any statement about EFI systems other that Kymco BUT each system has to know a starting point and initialize is the way the Kymco system does it. Once done THEORETICALLY it needs not to be done again unless there is a change. Well, space cadets, there can be a change in the TPS 'cause it is a variable resistor and they can change with age.
