Anyone know where I can get one of these? I have been doing web searches and this forum but no avail. Last I saw on this forum was from 2014 on any discussion.
I know an impact wrench would work but I want something easier to pack in tools/spare parts bag for on the scooter.

Make your own. May not be easy to pack in road gear but two pieces of flat bar, 3/4"×1/4"×24" with 1/4" hole in each end and three each, one quarter inch bolts (one to 1.25 ") and nuts will allow you to change either end or both ends of the CVT all by yourself. That holder tool CANNOT be held in one hand while you wrench off the nut. 20 to 24 inches of holder length will allow you to use the ground while you use both hands and bad words to back the nut off! Har, har!
The picture below gives you an idea of how useful this gizmo can be. The steel bars are actually a little less than 3/4" wide. They are from two screw clamps. Every now and then I have to put 'em back together as clamps!

What is it? It's difficult to guess - maybe a picture would help?

Thank you! I figured I would end fabricating something and have not taken the variator off yet so wasn't sure what I needed to fabricate. I do need to be able to carry with me in the event I need to change the belt on a trip. I am planning on using this scoot for the Scooter Cannonball 2020.

Here is the fabricated tool. I have to go get a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter for my break bar for the nut but it appears this will work.

I have one of these, works fine though I bought a cheap piece of black pipe to slide over the end for when I need a bit more length.
Pretty sturdy and no real issues with it. Ebay has a bunch of variants of this and other holders.

That's it! Yes, you will need Tromper's black pipe on the half inch break bar to wring that nut loose! You got this!

No black pipe just some helping words! ;D
I just took it apart to gain experience on this scoot but basically the same as the Vespas. The belt did show some cracking in the grooves and rollers looked good. I plan to ride it as is in the springtime and then the week before Cannonball do the following:
Replace belt
Replace rollers and sliders
Change oil and filter
Replace air filter
Change hub oil
Replace tires
Then do a 100 mile shakedown ride prior to putting it on the trailer.
Over the winter I plan on changing brake fluid and coolant.

Tromper - thanks for the link. I looked at it, didn't do anything and then a day later I got a $5 ebay coupon in my email so I said why not for a little over $7, I bought it. See how it stacks up against my creation and will most likely need a short piece of pipe. Would easier to carry on the scoot.
