Noticed coolent leak around water pump outlet on my XTown 300i---about 9000 miles. Fix=better clamp on outlet hose. should fix....but cooler weather now might be Thermostat slow opening/slow warm up, pressure build up. New, wider clamp should take care of leak, I hope.

Interesting John. As a 2019 XT is it not under warranty? Or do you just prefer to trust your own spannering with your pride & joy?

fix it like you are on trip. I hate walking, if new/different clamp does not work and I can see hose is spilt....then warranty. Kymco dealer is 35 miles from here.

"I hate walking" ;D
And so say all of us!

I agree on air cooling----but on 11th water cooled scooter and over 400,000 miles with them,, this is first leak.

Just remembered: one of my 11 maxi-scooters was air/oil cooled---Daelim 125 in Korea, engine probably originally started as Honda design---worked well, never broke, daily wide open on my 10 mile ride home in the country. 65mph top speed. Had Puig windshield.
Daelim 250 scooter had complete Kymco engine and drive train. Kymco service so cheap in Korea at the time (about 10 years ago) it didn't pay to work on yourself---oil change/check/using their oil about $8---scooters used there commercial, so service done right.

should have said Daelim service so cheap, not Kymco.

Good point John. I've been riding water-cooled bikes & scooters since the mid-80's and never suffered a leak. Hope that's not tempting fate... :-X

Looks like leak is fixed---moved hose a little on pump, different hose clamp from junk box---test rode today=no leak.

Great news! Always heartens one to be able to recycle a fixing into a working repair [emoji1376]

Wider clamp repair seems to be working....no more leak. Several test rides in cold.
