An interesting review.
Had no idea Kymco had hired a German firm for the design.
(Kymco used an Italian design house for the 1st generation LIKE)

I saw one years ago at my Kymco dealer. Pretty cool bike.

I know it’s been a few months since posted but, Kymco actually sold the Venox to Honda, Honda called it the 250 Magna. Was not sold in the US to my knowledge.
-
I've seen the 250 Magna imported here but I'm not sure where it came from!
This would have been before Honda were in bed with Wuyang, which came in the early 10s

Looking at the Venox on my dealer's floor years ago....
I stared at those goofy plates ...
.are those just added to make the engine look larger?
Crazy.
They sure are!

A triumph of form over function Major T?

My first thought was how humiliated the owner would be when his HD buds stumble out of the Dew-Drop-Inn on a Sat night ….and take a closer look at his Kymco hog's engine.
It'd be like getting off the bus for your first day of school - and discovering that you're still wearing your cowboy pajama bottoms.

Yep. Nice analogy ;D

Seen a couple of used ones advertised on CL that didn't run and low miles. Just didn't care for the looks/style.

I hate those things, too! So phony!

The earliest Kymco we got here was the Stryker, I think. Pushrod engined semi-enduro thing
