1. Where is the closest Kymco sxs dealer near Edmonton Alberta Canada?
2. Where are Kymco dealers in Washington, Idaho, Montana or ND?
3. Issue: reverse gear is totally gone.
In the beginning it would jump out and grind, that got worse over time. Sounds of it were kind of a "bell sound" .... Clutch???? and then a lot of grinding.
I believe Kymco in Canada is no more, not a single dealer around anymore.
Id like to find out how to fix it and how much it would cost.
Otherwise I might as well get rid of it or salvage it.

Hello, and welcome.
Are there no dealers of sxs in your vicinity?
I would think that Kymcos should be able to be repaired by most any competent mechanic who is familiar with these types of machines?

Also, Try to find a former Kymco ATV dealer in Canada, they should still be able to work on your rig.
They can always order parts through an authorized dealer.
BTW, the problem may be only be the Shift linkage.

Souzamoto, that is what I was thinking, too! That shifter setup is all stamped thin steel and real simple, easy to bend. Coupled with being real cranky when new, frustration of trying to shift could get bent.

Completely agree. I was scared to do this at the start but got it figured out. What I have learned on my 2013 Kymco UXV 500i is these shifters are finicky. When you feel it's hard to put into gear I learned you have to physically rock the machine and add a little gas and the gear will slip into the right slot. I can get shifter out of alignment and rock the machine forward and backyard in my seat and it will slip in Park and realign all the gears. Reverse to me is the trickiest gears to get into gear properly. Finicky sums it up for me. However, I got it figured out now.

Not only that, but mine got a loose bolt on the shifter shaft that disappears inside the gearcase. 10 mm head tightened up easily. Had not missed any shifts but that was next!
