In your opinion do you think asking 1k would be way off base?

Might depend on where you live.
50's are popular in Key West, etc.
Other's maybe not so much.
Sure, give $1,200 OBO a try. See what happens.
Get it spotless, and very ready to start!(fresh or charged battery!) , take great photos - post it where you will.
Good luck....

DR power sports in Iowa has 2020 Agility 50's advertised for $1299. Of course you'll have the fees associated with it. Your location and market in your area will be a important factor. Good luck and hope you have a quick sale.
The hard thing to compete with is dealers have financing available. A lot of new buyers are more concerned about what the payments would be more then the costs.

Thanks guys, don't get me wrong I really like the thing. I just have my eyes on a bigger ride... a 150cc bike. But that's how a lot of it goes sometimes

Kelly Blue Book lists an average selling price of $1080 but it does depend on your location.
