Title: Removing Keyhole When Removing Sidepanels
Post by: Togger on August 31, 2020, 05:46:41 PM
I want to take apart my B&W 250 to adjust the valves. On one sidepanel the key  switch for the seat release is wired in on the left side. How do I take that out or disconnect it? TIA

On many Kymco scooters the valve cover, spark plug - is accessed through a panel below the front of the seat.
I hope your scooter doesn't require removal of side panels? ?
An exploded parts diagram is helpful in viewing how the panels go togeter.

It is not a switch that is wired in.  It is a keylock, with a lever that actuates a cable pull.  Once the seatbucket and rear rack is removed you can loosen the panel.  The little hook on the actuating cable can be easily be removed and the panel taken off.
