Title: Adapter for Slipstreamer windshield?

I'm adding a Slipstreamer 66 to my scooter, and from reading through the forum, I understand it needs an adapter to deal with installation.

Two questions for anyone who has gone down this path: First, what am I adapting to what? Do I need to take the windshield mount from 8 mm to 10 mm (meaning an 8 mm female to 10mm male adapter) or take the new mirror mount up to 10 (meaning an 8 mm male to 10 mm female)? Second, is it recommended to go with the Slipstreamer hardware, which seems hard to come by, or can I just get any random 8 mm-to-10 mm adapters?

(If that first question makes no sense, I might be misunderstanding how the windshield and mirror are mounted ...)

Get from Slipstreamer---that way you know it will work.
