Title: 09 uvx 500 only runs with choke

A few weeks ago it started pumping gas out the over flow on the carb. Took the bowl off the carb and cleaned everything up. Now it no longer pumps gas out but will only start and run with the choke. While it was running I sprayed ether around the carb boot and didn't notice any difference in tone or rpm. Timing and valve clearance are ok. Any ideas?

Could have gotten some crud into the carb, causing a partial block in jet. If it only runs with choke on then engine is lean...how about fuel pump pressure?  Is the pump woking properly?

Plugged pilot jet, need to take carb fully apart and clean.
