Hi, new to this forum.
I got a Kymco super 8 50 4t 2009 about a year ago. I live in Europe so I assume it's a european model.
My issue is my dimmer (low-beam) headlights simply stopped working a while ago.
I did read about the LCM issues regarding this model but I'm not sure if that's the issue here. Every other light works (parking and reflector (high-beam)) but the dimmer does not.
One thing that's also weird is when the bike is on idle and I turn the reflector on, it automatically switches it down to dimmers (Im guessing that's the LCM working). So that means that the dimmer is getting power so I assume it's a light switch issue but I couldn't find anything wrong yet. Anyone had this before?
thanks for the help in advance!

Is the headlamp bulb a 2-filament type?

Yes it is.

Is the low beam filament burnt out?

No it's not burnt out. I haven't taken it apart to take a look at it because it's quite the hassle but...
As I have stated the low beams actually do work when I switch to high beam and let the bike idle. The LCM switches the lights to low beam automatically when the bike is idling. Meaning that the bulbs are fine.
Also this model has 2 of each type of headlights. Both of my low beams stopped working at the same time. Makes me assume it's an issue in the electrical system.
I'm probably taking apart the handlebar light switch tomorrow to take a look at it. (Haven't had the time yet in the past couple days)

I always assumed the LCM (lighting control module) dims whatever headlight bulb happens to be on...I don't believe it switches your high beam to low beam when it kicks in...it just reduces power to the bulb that is lit.
