Other then the Kymco tool has anyone used another one that works that don’t cost a fortune?Is there a adapter cable to use a regular scanner?

No I don't...but may I ask why you want the Kymco diagnostic tool?

You don't really need one. If there is a fault, a code appears on the LCD when the ignition is switched on. Then refer to the codes in the service manual.

There's several problems doing it that way.  For example, you may not have an LCD display. Easier to use the correct scan tool so you can read the correct TC.   That's why service people use them.  FWIW, I'd never buy a machine that didn't produce usable TCs that I could decode directly without a dealer.
