Wife, daughter and I went into Y.S. today for coffee and lunch.
Dave Chappelle & friend came into Dino's and were standing behind the 3 of us as we ordered.
I'm on strict orders from my daughter not to look at or speak to him - as this little village is his haven of privacy....and I do appreciate that.
Actually - I was the only one who didn't notice him behind us...so I passed inspection.
Later I took a photo of his G-Wagen's rear ....

And an hour later we were standing between his car and another - waiting to J-walk when he opened the driver's door and because I was looking at the approaching cars,,,,we made eye-contact, he looked at my daughter with recognition, so I said, "pretty Jeep!"*...and gave him a thumbs up! He laughed, said, "thanks!" and hopped in his mega-bucks G-Wagen. It was so spontaneous that even my daughter laughed.
They put shrubbery in these veggie sandwiches!

Ha Ha Pizza is under new ownership. B.J.W., one of the orig dawn patrol Lier's Bunch I came to know at Dino's sold his pizza shop.
He once explained the origin of its strange name.
In the 1970's a few Antioch college kids opened a pizza shop. They sold pizzas on w/e's .....taking phone orders. But when they'd made all the money they needed for the day, they'd just quit and started answering the phone with - "Ha Ha, we're closed!" So, Ha Ha Pizza was born. (I've seen Chappelle wearing a Ha Ha Pizza T-shirt on those late night shows)

*a few weeks ago in Y.S.- my daughter remarked about the "pretty Jeep"..., when he parked his G-Wagen near us. I couldn't see it from my seat on the sidewalk. When Chappelle came out of a shop later - I asked him, for her, what kind of Jeep he was driving. He looked at her, chukled and said politely, "it's a Mercedes G-Wagen, actually." "Oh!" she said...like either one of us knew what those are. We googled it.

Your daughter needs to get a better grip on her sandwich - the walking sticks are escaping!
