As per title, pretty sure my 2009 S9 AC has different wiring pinout from any other Kymco.
I've tried no less than 8 CDI's and none work, including the brand new Naraku, so I'm thinking it's a one year only wiring pinout. Pic attached, if I can figure out how
Small 2 wire plug: Black+White "kill" (grounds when ignition off) Black+Red A/C power, upward of 30v~ when kicking
Big 4 wire plug: Green Ground, Black+Yellow Coil, Blue Yellow signal (0.5v AC when kicking over) and last one is blank.
*Some diagrams show ground in the empty spot on my bike, can it be that simple that every CDI I have (except the original) required 2nd ground?

In case anyone reads these forums, here's an update: seems most of the earlier Kymco models have DC powered CDI (that's Direct Current , 12V from battery) including Super 9 and People 50 but my 2009 SP is a unicorn with AC power to CDI (Alternating Current, 30-60V direct from stator)
I would have guessed that something like that is a common knowledge in a Kymco community...

Well, I recall several discussions on here about this very subject of AC and DC CDI for vaious models. Sometimes searching for any information on this forum can be a challenge.

Searched ad nauseam, nothing came up about late model S9 being any different, was under assumption that since they share many parts with other 2T like Dink, Yup, People and earlier S9 including LC the ignition would be same, weather it is AC or DC. Ordered specific S9 CDI and tried half dozen brand new CDI's from shop, all marked People/S9, even stamped number on the outer case is the same...
Also hacksawed nearly half way though my original CDI and never hit that magic wire, decided to quit since I couldn't find a replacement of any kind, figured 35mph was better than dead scoot
