Is your scooter a 2 stroke?

whoops, had to look that one up, yes, it's a 2 stroke...so you don't have valves in your engine!

Thank you so much. like i said i do houses buy have learned a lot over the last few weeks working on these but still need help often. so with no valves is there anything else i need tp do to maintain? it is hard to start and bogs out at times. also made a head gasket from cardboard and now i get a slight knock from cylinder guessing i made it slightly bigger with using a larger material as gasket can anyone tell me if this is an issue or will cause issues. and lastly i have it where it runs but the heat light comes on right away as so as i turn it over so its not hot its just turned on i just replaces the drive shaft in cooling pump its all looks good but still warrning light any ideas please help

No disrespect but, you need to not work on your scooter. Find a friend that has some knowledge to help you.  You cannot make a head gasket out of cardboard.

Ask in an auto parts store for a sheet of automotive gasket material. Cut one from that, not cardboard.

head gaskets are usually some composite of metal and gasket material, as opposed to all the other gaskets in the engine. A head gasket is a specific item to an engine..OP should buy the OEM gasket. See 12251 in pic

You had the first opportunity to describe a proper head gasket....
