Like a lot of us I guess, music mainly from my teens & 20’s! Interesting to trawl through lots of albums I couldn’t afford at the time. Thanks to streaming I’ve developed a love for bands that passed me by back in the day like the Stones, Pink Floyd, Eagles, CSN&Y* and any number of others.
Modern pop? Only the odd artist makes onto my radar. One such from a few years back is Joe Bonamasa. Sucker for a good axe man.
* With the recent death of Dave Crosby I re-listened to this song with a heck of a story behind it so, at the risk of alienating some on here, give Ohio another listen:

Just gave me a flashback to the 60's and 'you meet the nicest people on a Honda!'

my local radio station replays the Casey Kasem American Top 40 from 'this week' during the 70's on Saturday mornings and from sometime in the 80's on Sunday. Yesterday was this week in 1979 and today is from this week in either 87 or 88...they haven't said it, yet, but I recognize the songs.
The 70's and early 80's are my favorites...they lose me s they get into the late 80's....really not my music style.
But always fun to flash back to the year of the music..and remember where you were and what you were doing when those songs were popular.

I listen to the British invasion, Spencer Davis, Troggs, Yardbirds, Hollies, Tremelos, etc. mostly, not so much Beatles & Stones
and the American group, Rhinoceros, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsYmVZzJdPQ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsYmVZzJdPQ)and Neil Young
but I would never pass up an opportunity to see Blue Man Group

Contemporary of the Beach Boys here in the UK was Steve Gibbons from my home town. His band played regularly at the IoM TT Races and give this a listen to see why.

"great songs can travel everywhere bridging what divides us..."
(like the late friend who always bought me 2 fingers of Southern Comfort 100 at the Holiday Inn after an evening at the pool hall - took me a few years to appreciate this song as well)
--- 55 yrs - still no clue what this song is about!

A short lived group from late 60's that got together again in 2009 for a gig or 2
admittedly, it was the song "Chicken" with the barnyard sounds that hooked me. I like their rendition of Monkey Man better than some more popular covers I have heard

All I have is memories of the music and artists I enjoyed. My hearing is really poor even with hearing aids.
