Title: 29,000 Miles on a 12 Inch Tire
Post by: monkeybongos on September 17, 2023, 01:29:05 PM
The oem Duro front tire on my 2018 Cali Classic 200i scooter has logged 29k miles.  Has anyone gotten similar miles from a 12 incher?
The oem rear lasted 6,000 miles, so I never expected the front to last this long.

It has performed flawlessly, although to be fair I've never ridden on anything else as far as 12" tires go.
Visually inspected it regularly and always paid attention to how it felt on the road.  It's performance never
felt compromised, handling corners and 50mph smoothly right to the end.

After this long, feels like losing a good friend. But looking forward to riding on a Heidenau (K-61) and having
a matched pair for the first time in 23 k miles.

Funny thing is, for years Wolf put these same tires on their scooters.  Imagine the front tire outlived most of the scooters.

that must about be a world record for a 12 inch tire! I have Heidenau K61s on my Helix and really like them. Comfortable and good grip but Helix's are known to really eat tires, especially rears. Not counting on a ton of miles out of them! I thought I read somewhere that Heidenau was either discontinuing the K61 or maybe they were no longer offering it in sizes for the Helix?
