Today I was passed by a Chrysler 300 station wagon (the wagons that look like they've been stepped - squashed)
Driver passed me and the 2 cars behind me over a double yellow. Yep, I was driving the posted 35mph.
Anyway, at the light he pulled up close to a cement truck at this very long light.
He's already p.o'd obviously for some reason - so next he stands on the gas and spins his rear tires. Smoking up the whole area with burnt rubber....while his wagon fish-tails back and forth.
The light changed and he spun his tires turnng right...
My question:
So, how do you do this?
I assume one stands on the gas and the brake pedal to perform this? Why wasn't he in danger of rear-ending that cement truck?
Or, was he - and he just was too p___ed to care?!
NEST question:
All the leaves fell off the tree in my front yard.....to reveal this.
It is slightly larger than say a rugby ball. Suspended on a very thin branch - so it mustn't be heavy. It is very near the top of the tree - out of reach even on a ladder.
Is this a wasp nest?, or?
We have not seen any wasps in our yard this summer.

OK, that's all I got.....
Your thoughts?

been a long time since I've done a smoke show, and that was one a bike that I just wanted to use up the ChenShen the PO put on it and replace it with a Pirelli
fwiw, I grew up in Vermont, where double yellow is just a suggestion, it's completely legal to pass on double yellow with few exceptions. On my bike, sometimes I conveniently forget what state I'm in, and pass on double yellow

My two penn'orth Stig, he musta disabled the bakes to the rear to achieve that as surely the brake pedal normally operates the brakes at all 4 corners?
As for the nest, my money's on wasps. We've had them and they're made of a papery substance and very lightweight. Lucky they've not been all over your BBQs!

It's easy for the engine to outpower the brakes on a rwd vehicle, specially if it's a big v8. You never heard of a brake stand?

Didn't know that, but it makes sense I guess. So is that what they call a brake stand - i.e. spinning up the rear wheels?

not as easy as it used to me with disk brakes in front, and drum in the back

Update on the wasp nest.
At that height Able Pest wants $150+ to remove it.
Might run an advert. in the paper, "free six pack to first guy with his assault weapon (sorry, "deer rifle") to shoot at trees in a residential area "
Also, these things are selling for over $150 on ebay.
only in America....

I know a lot of people who keep paper wasp nests as a trophy for ther living room wall, cut it down in cold weather, put a clearcoat of lacquer, urethane or even hair spray over it will preserve it and kill anything inside. My brother's got one the size of a basketball at his camp, displayed with his deer heads, he has a chandelier make out of antler sheds

Thinking of running an ebay swap - my nest for your new 12" City Grip II.

I just saw one of those nests hanging in a brewpub / restaurant on Sunday! I guess it’s a thing!?

In trucks its easy to hit the gas and brakes and get the rear wheels to burn rubber!
….done it a few times in my youth…!😄
