Title: Ignition Circuit Abnormal?
Post by: monkeybongos on February 03, 2024, 05:38:10 PM
Getting a code for Ignition Circuit Abnormal on the Cali Classic 200i.
Anyone know what to check?   MPG has recently dropped 10%, and engine has coughed or stalled a couple times.  Idle seems good and scoot runs well aside from previously mentioned minor issues.

Don’t know if codes are standard for all scooters, but mine if showing 1 long light filled by 1 short light.

New plug?
Recent valve adjustment?

Yes, valve adjustment done 500 miles ago.  Not sure if the code started flashing before the adjustment.
Are you thinking an improper adjustment would be the problem?

Plug is an Iridium (following in your footsteps).  It's 4 yrs old, wouldn't think it's the issue, unless it has vibrated loose?
But scooter starts right up and idles strong, and runs smooth and quiet for the most part.

Only thing I found on google search was faulty ignition coil (in cars, anyway).
