I sold my Like 150i today. Unless Kymco does something to turn around their ever decreasing number of dealers I don't see myself buying another. Kymco makes some great scooters but they don't support them in the USA.

I might still stop in here once in a whlle. You can always find me over on Adventure rider. I'll be racking up the miles on my ADV150 and Vespa GTS.

Sad day Klav, sorry to see you go, but don’t be a stranger here?

yes, please keep visiting and posting..you always have great pics! Why did you decide to sell the Kymco? Too much overlap with your other bikes?

It had a history of electrical gremlins and I didn't trust it for longer rides. I informed the buyer and sold it cheap. I have 2 other scooters as well as 2 motorcycles. My garage is much less crowded with 4 bikes.
I mentioned in my thread over in ADV that i should get off my butt and sell the Like and I got a message the next day from someone wanting to buy it. The same thing happened earlier this year when I posted that I would probably be selling my Majesty. I never had to list either one for sale.
The Like was a great little scooter and most years it was my number one mileage bike. If not for reliability issues I'd have well over 30,000 miles on it. I sold it with 23,000+ miles on it.

Yeah - I wouldn't keep a scooter I couldn't trust.
And if the dealer couldn't sort it I'd be moving it out right smartly!
As for dealer support....I see you own a Vespa. I have a Vespa product but I have no dealer support within even Naval artillery distance. And 7 years on - the rascal still runs like a top. When it doesn't it'll be gone.
I think for a great many of us Kymco owners - fortunately - we've found that our model is so reliable and robust that we need very little dealer support - other than consumables through the mail!
I do have a local Kymco dealer - and every so often we ride by and wave. They do help with tire mounting.
But, I tell you - if I was smart, I'd never own anything but a Honda in this country. They make stuff I'd like to have - and have a national system of dealer support. I have two Honda Power House dealers nearby. Power House dealers only focus on Honda.
If my Kymco dies or my Liberty expires - and I can still stand upright....I'll take a drive over to Honda. They have 500 cc bikes that sell for less than a GTS. And the Honda isn't totaled if it falls over in the garage :)
Ride safe buddy!

I get it, klav! Enjoyed your pictures and energy! See ya at Advrider...

Yeah, I sold mine because the ONLY dealer was miles away and they wouldn't work on mine because it was over 10 years old. I knew then that the brand was going downhill.

my local dealer has more and more Kymcos every tiime I visit, the owner is a close friend of mine, he buys up as many as he can from other dealers going under and bids for their allotments directly from Kymco

Randy, does your dealer handle mail-order parts?
