Sure, city traffic headlights are no fun at night, in the rain - but at 5:30AM (almost 2 hrs before sun-up) there aren't many cars to deal with.

Once I was out in the country, on well-known roads! riding into my friendly village - it was a pleasure.

It was a good ride!

Wet night ride out - with the excuse of getting coffee!

Not such a pretty destination Stig, but I took a wet ride out too yesterday to Leek, an old market town near me on the edge of the Peak District.

Journey home was cool at 12c, but the heated grips meant my hands were toasty, even in summer gloves!

My destination!

love viewing the rain pics from the comfort of my warm house with a cup of coffee! Always love your scenery, too, Neil!

Thanks Hawk. I really ought to be more disciplined about stopping during my rides to shoot more photos!  (Made a bit more difficult here as the phone was in my jeans' pocket underneath my waterproof over trousers!)

Wet weather riding.  At last, to go with the ash tray, here's your next motorcycle "must have" a steaL at $250:

I have a $2 v-wipe which goes on my glove and does the same job!

Really great shots Neil!
Yeah - we ain't in Kansas anymore!
Nice looking pub - it may not be de rigueur in the U,K. to shoot pix in these establishments?

Keep riding and shooting! My rain pants leave access to the pockets of my Bullets!

Stig

As I sat in the pub and looked around at the memorabilia I thought “I ought to photograph this, Stig would love it”, but then didn’t. Next time Stig, next time.  Most pubs are happy for you to take photos, anything which may boost trade as they’re going out of business at a frightening rate!
