Here's a Vespa ride for you Stig!

Is this one you've done Ruffus?  It's certainly on my bucket list!

an amazing road!
Thanks for sharing Neil!

Me....I'd park for a coffee and wait until all those other riders are out of sight, so I could enjoy my ride.

Neil, no. Too crowded. There are way more enjoyable routes in northern Italia without wannabe racers (aka organ donors).

Bit like the Nurburgring in that respect Ruffus?  Mind you, I did enjoy lapping the TT circuit back in the day!

I have a German vintage VW bus pal* in Frankfurt.
He shot videos of his vintage VW bus club circling the 'Ring. Talking VW's from the 50's and 60's🙃!
Just the convoy of VW's traveling to the track was pretty cool to see.

*the man is an expert on the early "Transporters"...authored a couple of books on same. They meet every 4 years in BadCamberg. Site of Willi Lottermann's VW dealership...the oldest existing. Event is open to pre1957 VW's, all types. The VW museum usually sends a couple to the show.

Suspect they’re breaking no lap records though, eh Stig?

Neil yes, this is what drove me nuts, this greyish unpredictable sky where you never knew its winter or fall late summer. One has to be born there.

Well I was born here Ruffus, but I’ve never loved the winter weather!  Had the opportunity 20 odd years ago to move to Malta and I’d have gone in a heartbeat. Unfortunately we couldn’t persuade our kids at the time.

Irony is, now they wish we’d done it 🙃

My youngest asked why, after I've visited and lived in a whole lot of places - I live in Ohio. "Of all places?!"

My world is where my 6 children are. Ohio.
No regrets..... it's a state of mind. Not geography.

You’re right of course Stig.  Which is why we didn’t go and why I’ll doubtless be here “enjoying” the damp & cold ‘til I’m called for. 😃
