took the week off work and have been doing some vehicle maintenance in between watching bowl games (post season college American football for our non US friends). Oil change on the new car, still need to do oil change on older car, got oil changed on Helix and today did 4 bike brake masters and 1 clutch master with new fluid.
Did an end of year mileage check and was almost embarrassed...
Honda Nighthawk was the winner with 1137 miles (1829 km)
Kawasaki Ninja 300, 505 miles (812 km)
Honda Helix 215 miles (346 km)
How about you guys, what kind of miles did you ride in 2024?
-
Pretty embarrassingly only 3,000 miles (give or take) on the DTX360 and around 500 on the Triumph so I'm in no position to poke fun at your tally Hawk.
Let's hope we both manage a more respectable total in 2026 eh?

Yes, let's do our best to not let life get in the way of our riding! Everything seems to get in the way, if you let it..

Quite embarassingly here too.
Around 3300 on the Silverwing and around 1700 on the Boulevard.
I mainly used the Silverwing for commuting to work, and mainly used the Boulevard for rides during weekends or during windy days. The Boulevard proved to be more stable on the road in strong windy conditions.
I was hoping to ride more often but at the end it just did not happen.

at least your 5000 miles has us beat!

I don’t think that will happen again in future.
My wife used to join rides as a pillion during weekends but she has osteoporosis and towards the end of the season rides became too painful for her. So she has decided not to join rides in future.
I don’t like leaving my wife alone at home so my rides will be less in future.

Scooterfan, I feel for you. My wife only climbs aboard now in extremis (i.e. her car - our only car - off the road) or if it's a gloriously warm, sunny summer's day then she'll suggest an outing on the Triumph. Also our two dogs do look very disapproving when we go out together...

maybe a thousand for me between my K-Pipe & AK550

I had a pretty good year in 2024:
Versys - 2329
KLX 250 - 1979
Vespa GTS - 7038
ADV 150 - 4103
Majesty - 371
Like 150i - 789

That's about the same I did 23. As I expected I rode my scooters a lot more than my motorcycles:
Scooters 12,301
Motorcycles 4,338
I also rode in 9 different states: AL, MS, TN, GA, NC, VA, CA, OR, WA.
I owned a total of 6 bikes in 2024. I sold the Majesty and Like. I don't expect to make any changes in my lineup this year but who knows what the year will bring. I hope to ride more miles this year but I hope that every year.

and Klav for the win! Looks like the Vespa is the current favorite? Combination of right size and power for you?

as I previously posted, less than a thousand for me, but my excuse is that I bought a tractor/loader/backhoe, 3 chainsaws and 2 chainsaw mills

I've also had a dismal 2024. I changed job back in March so wasn't doing any commuting anymore past that, so the bike has become a toy now, and I'm not very good at making time for leisure pursuits.
Managed less than two thousand miles, and had done 90% of that by the middle of March!

The Vespa was the new bike in 2024. I suspect it will get the most miles again in 25 but time will tell.

Good to see you on here again. I guess we all need this as a New Year resolution:

I don't keep much in the way or records - just my memory.
These past 2 years haves been fraught with several distractions, so I'm certain my mileage is down.
It is 11 years between these two helmets - and about 43,000 miles on 4 different scooters.

The defunct Spirited Goat Coffeehouse. Warm, youth-run, old-world (60's) ambiance and friendly as could be - until they ran afoul of the masking regulations.....

Since I've been married, I've had a Harley and 4 Kymco scooters. My wife has never been on any of them. We had a pretty active HOG (Harley Owners Group) here, and I did several rides with them. It seems though there are no active scooter groups in my area (Syracuse, NY). I don't enjoy riding alone very much, and I don't enjoy riding in the cold weather. The end result is that 1000 miles in a year is a lot for me!

In 2023 I only rode 3615 miles for the entire year. About half what I usually ride due to illness or family activities happening when I usually have my longer trips.
In 2024 I rode closer to my typical at 6591 miles for the year. My typical is between 7000-8000 miles at least. I used to ride just a bit more than that when I was working since I rode to work every month of the year in central Iowa regardless of the temp... and took the bus when the roads had slippery stuff on them since the bus picked up a block from my home and dropped off across the street from work.

I envy your public transportation!
On snow, no-scooter, days my wife had to take me to work.I caught the bus at my work for the home commute.
Dropped me for a refreshing 3/4 mile walk to my house🙃Always enjoyed city bus rides in the winter in Mass 40 yrs ago. . Warm and cozy..greeting the same pour souls...leaving the driving on bad streets to someone else.

Just another reason why I ride at dawn ...... back home early so as not to take away from time with my family.
I used to play a round of golf in 2.5 hrs on Sats....out there while they're still mowing the greens! Back home while the kids still in their pajamas. Once the starter got to know me...it was never a problem.
