This is a quote from my post on the day my new LIKE200iLX was delivered to my house.
April 12, 2013.
"I'm gonna go back out to the garage now....and just look at her.
My wife said it'd be OK to sleep out there if I want."
It had been 43 years since I'd owned and ridden a motorcycle.
A few weeks later, my son and I took a rider's safety class, hosted by Ohio at a local airfield. We each earned our 2 wheel license.
On Dec. 13, 2013 I hit 4,000 miles on the odometer. All-weather work commutes added about 7 miles each day; but most of those miles were accumulated on leisure rides in the state park 2 miles from our home.
My first modification was to improve on the too short mirrors. (a problem on all 4 scooters I've owned)
Then scouted up some OEM crashbars from a dealer in TX.
Then the painful seat was rebuilt...using a LIKE 50 seat found on eBay for $35. (the orig. seat is in the closet)
Lighted Bestem top case was next.
My very first impression: the scooter was heavier than I expected for "a small plastic Chinese scooter."

My first scoot, back in 2016, was a Honda PCX 125. Great scooter, but in the end we parted company as it was struggling to carry my lard ar*e up steep hills. The switch to the X-Town 300 was the right move as it was the right mix of power and manoeuvrability for me.
The only "scooter" which would tempt me away from the current DTX320 would be a Honda XADV750! New price though is £10,000!

I've had to replace or modify the mirrors on EVERY bike I've owned, stock is only good for looking at my elbows
I have DoubleTake mirrors on everything except my AK550, and exploring ways to replace those
