:D
I am soooooooooo ready for winter to be gone!!
-
same here just wana ride.
-
Why can't you ride now?
-
o I can but we are geting ice and snow.rather be safe.
-
Don't forget Axy that here in the US most scooter riders are somewhat of a rarity, especially here in the north. Sometimes I feel like there is a bullseye on me when I ride. When you see a lot of people driving a huge SUV and talking on their cell phones it does not make us feel safe. Sometimes people will ride your tail just to get a closer look. I always take the back streets so it is not too bad. I have recently been riding with an open face helmet and a respirator that directs my breath down not up. cuts down on the fog and really keeps your face warm. here is a link. I am sure others have used one but it has allowed me to ride here even in 25 degree fahrenheit weather. But ice is a different story! I will have to get some chains for that.

it works better than that diving snorkel that I had been using. :P

lol come on stop I cant take it any more you guys are takeing all my red neck ideas away from me.
But thats a good one love that full face one.
-
Let's see now. . . A season lasts 13 weeks. We're about 4 weeks into official winter. About 9 weeks to go. Better button up, all.
For those who'd like to thank me for that -- You're welcome! :D
P.S. I'm ready for Spring too but gotta have patience.
-
yeah winter sucks, right?
got all the way down to 70F today, dammit. it was 80F just yesterday!
damn unpredictable cold ;D
-
I am soooooooooo ready for winter to be gone!! You and me both. Gas is getting very pricy. Can't wait for 45 mpg instead of 15 mpg with my cage.
-
I have not been able to ride for about a week now michigan is geting a big storm right now ice and snow.
-
Nashville got rain, turning to freezing rain/sleet, turning to snow, today.
About an hour ago, I got a hankerin' for a cheap 24oz. beer, and set off to the Sahib-Mart a mile away.
I got around the complex once, and parked it -- stayed upright by the grace of Dog Almighty, only.
I count myself fortunate, and rather stupid, as well. :)
.
-
Yeah, that ice sucks.
I rode home in freezing rain and ended up with a thick coating of ice on my visor.
Had to ride the rest of the way with the visor up and freezing rain pelting my face and eyes.
And I didn't even get a beer out of it... :-[
-
Oh, I didn't get a beer out of it, either!
No way would I have made it to Sahib's. No. WAY.

That's why us, extremists, have chains under the seat. ;D
-
The really hardcore would just have an emergency beer tucked under the seat.
-
Got another snow storm coming on Wednesday, expecting a foot of snow. So sad, so sad.
-
Tell me about it! So sad indeed! :'(
-
I'm still riding :-) hehe
750 miles so far! or ~1200 km :)
Lucky I'm in Florida huh? hehehe
*hides before he gets his butt kicked*

*hides before he gets his butt kicked*
probably a smart idea!
And hey, I'm still riding too - even though the temps are below 15 degrees here.
-
That's crazy... I used to with my old moped in Sweden but with a scooter I'd feel so scared hehe
-
Don't know about being scared, but feeling cold for sure...
-
I'm sure it is! lol
Isn't it slippery though?
-
Y'all so silly! I'm going to bed. Maybe it will be warmer when I wake up tomorrow, lol.
-
Hey, 'aokark', I just have to ask...Does being so Cocky happen at birth? Or is it a learned behaviour?? You 2 Silly! :P ;)
(hehe hehe - lol lol - umm - wth?!?)

Haha, you're funny :-)

We just had a break in the weather...
I was riding around in 50ish degree weather just wearing a t-shirt and jeans!
I guess you get used to the cold. Even took my girl (and scooter!) our for lunch. Great ride... Glad I have the 150!
-
For me, the light jacket doesn't come off until mid-70s or better. I hate the cold.
.
-
Wow, that's some great temps for this time of year, glopezz. Hey, did you take any pics of your new scoot when you took it to lunch by any chance?? ;D
I'm with you, jprestonian. I'd be happy with 70s year round.
-
Sorry, no pics yet (don't know why)...
I've been dreaming of an all day ride during the summer.
Starting at 7am when the temps are already at 80...
head north for some breakfast, back into town for a leisurly lunch to escape the heat...
then downtown at night to enjoy what San Antonio has to offer.
-
Yes, it's very hot there in Texas. I have not so fond memories of being in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and Laredo (with broken A/C in the Big Truck) during a week long heat wave with temps over 100 degrees. I bet you will enjoy riding in the heat more now that you have that faster scoot!
Oh, okay, then...
I'll just keep waiting for the pics. :D
-
Having a heat wave the last couple days here, it did get to -6*F today!! :o
-
- 6 you say?
just another 30 or 40 degrees and you'll be set for riding. if you and the scoot can take that kind of extreme heat! :o
-
Rosie refuses to start in less than balmy temps.
I am personally too wimpy to ride in less than 50 temps also! ;)
-
I am with the rest of you, ready for spring. Sitting on the scooter in the garage making scooter noises is getting boring the scenery never seems to change. ;) I hear it's only about 7 weeks until the first day of spring, but with the weather we have had lately it will probably snow that day...
-
May as well voice my discontent too, seeing that it's snowed all day so far.
-
70 degrees here.
took my scoot to the car wash. plenty of long stares and a got followed by a car full of teenage girls.
all while riding in shorts, tshirt and flip flops.
suck it.
And I do hope the weather changes for you soon. Scoots need to be ridden.
