Title: Dowco cover size for People 150?
Post by: raypomp on April 11, 2011, 01:13:24 PM
Hi--I have a 2009 People 150 and no garage. I'm looking at getting a Dowco Weatherall Plus cover to help protect it. Anyone have sizing suggestions--medium or large? I will probably be adding a Cuppini windshield as sold by Scooterworks. Thanks....

Morning.  I just got the Dowco scooter cover for my Super 8 150.  I ordered the large and it fits great.  The only thing that I can see is that the large is made to go on a 150 with a topcase so the back to the portion of the cover that is suppose to go next to the exhaust (has a heat shield) is a little lower but that is not a problem for me since I might be getting at top case sooner or later.

Thanks for your input--I have attached a basket to the back, which is probably similar in size to a top case. Does your scoot have a windshield? My guess is larger is better so there won't be as much strain on the fabric...

No my scooter does not have a windshield beside the stock one which is really small.  I have not been able to find an aftermarket windshield for my super 8.  The fabric seems to be pretty strong to me but it would probably be good to go larger because constant strain on the seams could shorten the life. But all in all it is a pretty good cover.  Don't have anything to compare it to but its seems to be good quality to me.

I ended up getting a Dowco Weatherall Plus cover in large--for motorcycles, not scooters. It fits well, and will have room for a modest windscreen as well as the good-sized metal basket I mounted on the rear rack...
