hi there i am wanting to lower my a50 has any one on here done that with/without lowering block?
before you ask ==i want to do this as the custom scene in england aint as big as the states and a lowered scoot would really stand out over here.

I have tryed but the kick stands are hard to use if its to low. the side stand rubs the road at a turn and pulling the scoot up on the center stand is crazzy hard to do. I have some smaller shocks I might try that might help.

right so they work then good! picking up a spare set of forks today so going to modify them on the lathe so they will be 2" shorter plus the 1/2" i did when i adjusted the top mounts :) now just need to either make a lowering block or get a shock :)

Remember to post up some pics once it done if it all works out cos im interested to see how it looks.
Didnt know you could adjust the top mounts on the forks, does this tighten or loosen the tension or something? is it easy to do? My mountain bike has something like this on the forks, is that similair then?
Guess I should read my manual more.

no you cant adjust the forks but you can take them out put a groove in the top 1/2" down (done on the lathe) and put them back in the yoke. there for lowering the bike 1/2" by adjusting the forks.
sorry for the confusion not very good at explaining things:)
i will be doing an extended engine craddle soon aswell to give the stretched out look that the japs are big on at the moment coupled with the lowering should look "the muts nuts!"
the perks of owning a lathe are i get to fab all my own parts!:)

We got a machine shop and a sheet metal shop at work so I also can get one off bits and bobs made up if I need anything. Waoting for a new stainless steel heatshield for my zorst being cut as we speak!
Dont want to do anything too drastic to my scoot yet cos I use it daily for work. If yours turns out well tho I maybe need to, lowered and stretched sounds like the bizz.
