Title: Exhaust system question
Post by: Dale Genther on May 19, 2011, 01:11:03 AM
My 2006 Agility 50 has a "tee/open port" in the exhaust pipe a several inches before the muffler. The majority of the exhaust noise comes from this opening. when I put my foot over it the scooter gets much quieter. What is the purpose of this opening?

I don't know the ID, but the OD is about 3/4 inch, I.E about the same diameter as the exhaust pipe.

yes that is your emission test port it should have a small bolt in it, i'm not sure that it would cause any damage if it were missing but i guess it could cause you to run lean. mine vibrated out as well but it didn't seem to cause any problems, just noise

I threaded a 6 mm bolt into it. Quieter now.
